Distance Learning for All

In case of a school closure due to a deteriorating public health situation, Friends is prepared to provide ongoing, age-appropriate instruction and learning. If it becomes necessary to close campus to all students, faculty and administrative staff, all academic and non-academic programming will occur virtually. Our faculty have shown tremendous dedication and commitment to offering the best possible education no matter the circumstances since the beginning of this pandemic, and this remains unchanged as we enter the 2021-2022 academic year.

Our preparations for a potential distance learning scenario will continue to focus on three major areas:

  • Technology tools and skills

  • Pedagogies that can pivot between in-person and distance learning

  • Establishing and maintaining a healthy community, healthy relationships and healthy personal habits while school and friends are remote and distanced.
